Tim Ellis Cole creates detailed, linear murals, paintings and illustrations that evoke a sense of the environment's dynamic impact on our aesthetic sensibilities and experience. The innate forms and patterns Cole creates are all impacted by what and where he may be at the time as well as where he's been. This relationship between creative content and environment defines the moniker, "Partner Projects Studio.” While often working alone, symbiosis with every bit of environmental stimuli is very much a partnership. Early influences from NY/NJ skateboard culture are still seen in work just as easily as the influence of raising kids a block from the ocean. Frequent use of found materials bring the environment physically to the the art it influences. Cole explored this in a recent project screen printing directly on salvaged cedar shingles from the Kennedy Compound and creating unique, mixed media installations from the odd cuts. Christopher White noted “Cole has ridden his artwork from the skatepark to the Kennedy Compound” in the 2017 issue of Cape Cod Art annual. Zane Fischer, former Art Critic of the Santa Fe Reporter, described Cole's work as "clearly prolific" in a review of Cole's first art show in 2004. Cole continues to produce abundant work his studio at the Killburn Mill in New Bedford, MA.
